- HELEN PICKETT (www.helenpickett.com)
- Saturday, August 1 & Sunday, August 2 from 1:00-3:00pm
Forsythe-based Improvisation Technique
In this workshop you will learn the basic foundation of the
Forsythe technique. I will incorporate the fundamental warm-up,
intrinsic to understanding the technique, and then move onto
basic modalities. This particular improvisational technique enables
each person to access movement, in part, by interpreting their body
in space - a different version of space! All dimensions of your body
will be challenged. You will learn to move and not to pose. This
language is fun to learn, and easy to refer back to because it is a
technique. In this short time you will have an understanding of
what the Forsythe Technique is.
Helen encourages participants to bring a notebook and socks, no bare feet.
