Nathan
Trice is Artistic Director/Founder of nathantrice/RITUALS
based in New York City. The group was found in 1998 and
consists of a nucleus of eclectic artists with diverse
backgrounds of expression. The collaboration of these
multi-talented artists aim to inform and produce a
(VAST) Visual Audio Sensory Theater experience.
Nathan began his training in 1989 under the strict direction of
Aulani Chun at Mesa College in San Diego, California.
While studying, he simultaneously completed his
remaining two years of a four and a half year contract
with the U. S. Military Naval Service. He was then
accepted into the Alvin Ailey American Dancer Center two
year certificate program where he took the opportunity
to build as an individual, a dancer, and a
choreographer. After completing the two year certificate
program at the Ailey School Nathan went on to dance with
MOMIX Dance Co., Complexions, Joseph Holmes Chicago
Dance Theater, Donald Byrd/The Group and nathantrice/RITUALS.
Nathan has continued to choreographed and teach
nationally and internationally for an array of venues:
The 1995 Cultural Olympic Gay Games, Hollins University,
Spelman College, Bermuda Dance Company, Tennessee State
University Dance Dept., Ailey Fordham/BFA Program, Long
Island University Dance Dept., LaGuardia High School of
the Performing Arts, Deeply Rooted Production Summer

Out-Of-Doors 1999, nathantrice/RITUALS second & third
season at the Orensanze Foundation for the Arts, the
DADD series at Judson Memorial Church in celebration of
women, the E-MOVES series at Aaron Davis Hall, Jacobs
Pillow, The 3rd Annual HipHop Theater
Festival, Summer Stage, Long Island University's
Brooklyn Triangle Theater and DTW in collaboration with
Gabri Christa's Dominata.
