A thorough training in the Vaganova method and a rich performance experience directly informs
Edward Ellison's classical ballet class. Passing on his artistic and methodical approach to
training, the class emphasizes correct technique. Placement, coordination, the development of
strength and musicality are all carefully coached in this class, as a prerequisite to mastering
the art of classical Ballet. The understanding of the physics of ballet technique is also
stressed as an important component in the training process; a process of acknowledging mind,
body and spirit and thereby achieving true artistry.
